I understand that inventories can sometimes be off and that is not a big deal. However 2 of the 13 cards I ordered were not in very good shape. They had sizable knicks in the black border of the card resulting in very noticable imperfections. They also had a significant amount of dirt spots on the faces of the cards. If I were to rate these cards I would rate them in less than good condition. Also them being the most expensive of cards I bought, I was dissapointed. I have bought from MTG Stronghold once before and that order was pratically perfect. If I do go to order cards from an on-line vendor again, MTG Stronghold probably won't be at the top of my list. I would suggest that MTG Stronghold start rating their cards better if they are going to sell them in this condition. I found the cards were true to their playing condition and arrived in timely fashion. The package was barley protected with only the bubble envelope protecting the cards. Overall I am happy with the quality and order as well as the shipping speed but am disappointed with the packaging, overall I am satisfied.

The only issue that I ran into was that one of the cards I ordered was incorrect- I ordered an Elfhame Sanctuary and recieved an Elfhame Palace. Since the price of the two cards is similar, and I was able to use the Elfhame palace in a deck, I didn't have any major complaints, but I did have to place another order in order to get the Elfhame palace I wanted for a deck. |

They all have white playing marks, and the one that is listed as good condition is actually POOR Condition, as somebody wrote on it with a sharpie. If it was not written on, it would be Good condition, however it is. Therefore, I would rate this vendor as dishonest and be very careful what you buy from them. From MTG Stronghold: I have offered the customer a full refund for his written-on card, plus additional money for return shipping. It is a bit presumptuous to call me "dishonest" before even giving me a chance to offer a refund. For the record, "Good" is the lowest condition in the FMC grading system above "Poor", and "Poor" really only applies to cards that are so heavily worn that they are marked even if played in opaque sleeves. Hence "Good" is an accurate rating for a non-warped, non-creased card which somebody wrote on. |
